My real name is Michael C. Gross. There…I’ve done it.
We (Mandy and I) had to make a decision about revealing our true identities on this site (or elsewhere). There was a time when publishing this site would have sent us to jail. Ralph Ginsburg went to prison for publishing EROS in the 60’s and Al Goldstein spent a lot of time and money trying to stay our of jail for publishing SCREW.
We’ve come a long way.
This site represents the future of adult e-publishing. We have embraced the word Porn and all it’s art forms.So, while I will continue the persona of Mikey and refer to Michael C. Gross as another person…if anyone cares, we are one and the same.
A little background: I was the Art Director of National Lampoon in the 70’s. I was John Lennon’s personal print designer during the same period. I designed for The International Olympics, Mobil Oil and The Muppets. As an artist, designer and photographer I have exhibited in The Smithsonian, The Oceanside Museum of Art and MOMA (NY).
I changed careers in the 80’s and produced ten films for Ivan Reitman.
My credits as Associate Producer, Producer or Executive Producer include: Heavy Metal, Twins, Ghostbusters, Beethoven and Dave. (you can check the full list on IMDB under “producers”) I have three EMMY nominations for my television work, a Golden Globes nomination and a Peoples Choice award.
I curate at two art museums and have my name on over a dozen books.
So…why do I publish this site? Because when I was ten years old I got my bottom whacked for drawing nude girls. Because as my kids grew up I had to hide my erotic art from view.
Because my love of all things porny had to be kept a dirty little secret.
Not anymore. I will not be a hypocrite.
I am proud of this site, and if I’ve gone from
editor, artist and producer to pornographer…so be it.
